Cranberry Apple Dump Cake

Here is a Cranberry Apple Dump Cake that would be perfect for Thanksgiving camping. Get the recipe at the bottom of the post.

I love cranberries! During the short season in which they are available, I buy a lot of them.

I love using them in both sweet and savory dishes.

I always have a dish or two on the Thanksgiving table with fresh cranberry in it. It is usually Fresh Cranberry Relish and some kind of roasted vegetables. Pumpkin Pie Cake is a great Dutch oven recipe, too!

Over the weekend, I experimented with a bag of cranberries and came out with a hit.

Enjoy this Cranberry Apple Dump Cake made in the Dutch oven. You will also enjoy our Dutch Oven Apple Crisp.

Dutch Oven Cranberry Apple Dump Cake Recipe

Like many of the recipes I made, this recipe calls for simple ingredients.

You need fresh cranberries, Granny Smith apples, lemon juice, sugar, apple juice, a yellow cake mix, butter, and pecans.

Prepare charcoal for the Dutch oven.
We find that using a charcoal chimney or small grill works best for this.

Line the Dutch oven with a liner. Grab them here or use this tutorial to make your own.

While the charcoal is burning, prep the ingredients.

The cake turned out well.

I tasted it when I took these photos and it was good.

I had a serving of it later after it cooled off and it was amazing!
