Grilled Lemon Pound Cake with Berries

Blackstone Lemon Pound Cake with Berries Recipe

This grilled cake and berries is easy to make.

  2. Grill the cake
  3. Layer the cake with the berries and top with cream topping

Ingredients

  • Fresh berries (I used strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
  • Butter
  • Pure maple syrup
  • Lemon pound cake
  • A spray can of whipped topping

I got the lemon pound cake from Aldi. Cut your pound cake into thick slices if it comes as a loaf.

Grilled Lemon Pound Cake with Berries Ingredients

Rinse the berries. If using, chop the strawberries.

Cut the cake into one-inch-thick slices if it comes as a loaf.

Light the Blackstone griddle and adjust to medium heat.

Add a tablespoon or two of butter to the flat top surface. Speed up the melting process by using the edge of your spatula to spread the butter.

Add the berries to the buttery surface and stir for a minute or two until softened. Pour a small amount of pure maple syrup over the strawberries and cook for another minute.

While the berries are cooking, add a little more butter to the grill. Place the cake slices into the melted butter, browning each side for a minute or two.

Assemble the dessert and cover with the desired amount of whipped topping.

Instructions

    1. First, rinse the berries thoroughly. If you're using strawberries, chop them before adding them to the recipe.
    2. If the cake is in loaf form, slice it into one-inch-thick pieces.
    3. Light your Blackstone and set it to medium heat.
    4. Add 1-2 tablespoons of butter to the metal surface. Use the edge of your spatula to speed up the butter-melting process.
    5. Add the berries to the buttery surface and stir until softened. Drizzle maple syrup over strawberries and cook for another minute.
    6. While the berries cook, melt more butter on the grill. Toast the cake slices in the butter for 1-2 minutes per side.
    7. Put the dessert together and add the desired whipped topping on top.

Notes

*We used strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, but any berries can be used.
