Looking for a simple kids’ craft that will provide lasting entertainment? Create a tic tac toe game out of items found out at the campground.
My daughter invited some friends from Girl Scouts to go camping with us. They wanted to make some kind of craft using items found in nature. We came up with this tic tac toe game.
DIY Tic Tac Toe Game
Supplies
Small piece of wood
Four small sticks
10 small pebbles with a flat side
Colored markers
Low-temperature hot glue gun
Directions
Heat up the glue gun.
Break the sticks into a length that fit on the wood.
Glue the stick into place to form a tic tac toe grid.
Color half the rocks one color and half another color.
Play the game over and over.
The girls had fun creating these games. We place each one in a sealed plastic sandwich bag. The girls took theirs home. We are storing ours in our pop-up trailer to use on future trips.
Don’t want to color rocks? Use two different items such as acorns and pebbles. Your kids could even use Legos or other small items they own.
Will your kids enjoy making this? They will also enjoy making Wind Spirals out of Water Bottles.
