Combine the taste of the holidays with camping with these Candy Cane S’more Nachos. You can make this treat at home or over a campfire.
Everyone loves s’mores! So much so that you can find s’mores in candy, cakes, and cookies. Have you ever tried S’more Hot Dogs?
Our most popular recipe is our S’more Nachos. This recipe is quite similar but with the addition of two peppermint candies.
Candy Cane S’more Nachos Recipe
This simple dessert uses the following ingredients:
- Candy Cane Hershey Kisses
- Milk Chocolate Chips
- Graham Crackers
- Marshmallows
- Candy Canes
We used mini marshmallows, but regular-sized ones are a good option.
How to Make S’more Candy Cane Nachos
Make this recipe in a foil pan lined with parchment or cast-iron skillet.
Directions for baking over the campfire are shown in italics.
- Place an oven rack about 3-4″ below the top heating element before preheating the oven to 400°. Get your campfire going to the point where there are hot coals.
- Remove the kisses from their foil packaging.
- Break candy canes* into small pieces.
- Break graham crackers into sections.
- Mix the candy cane kisses, chocolate chips, and graham cracker pieces in your pan.
- If baking in an oven, place this pan in the oven until the chocolates get soft and glossy, indicating they are melting. Skip to the next step if cooking over a campfire.
- Cover with marshmallows.
- Sprinkle with candy cane bits.
- Place back in the oven until the marshmallows begin to brown. Keep a close eye on it because the puffs can quickly burn.
- Cover with foil and place over hot coals for 5-10 minutes or until melty.
- Remove and serve. Use the extra graham cracker pieces to dip into the candy cane marshmallowy-chocolate goodness.
*Mini candy canes are recommended as they are easy to break up in their wrapping by hand.
So yummy!! Peppermint is such a great addition to s’mores! Create a S’more Charcuterie Board or Blackstone S’more Sandwiches.
