Campfire Peach Crisp

Make this easy Grilled Campfire Peach Crisp on your next camping trip. It is made with simple ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry.

Our daughter loves to eat canned peaches, so we always have a few cans on hand. On a recent camping trip, she asked if we could make some kind of peach dessert.

I am a fan of peach crisp, so I whipped this up with items in our camper.

Campfire Peach Crisp Recipe

This easy camping recipe just requires a few ingredients. You need a can of sliced peaches, cinnamon graham crackers, instant oatmeal, butter, and pecans if so desired.

You also need a foil pan and some aluminum foil.

Grilled Peach Crisp Directions

Break up a few graham crackers and place them in the foil pan.

Add in the instant oatmeal and pecans.

Open up the can of peaches. Cut the peaches into bite-size pieces by putting a butter knife into the can and cutting them apart.

Pour the entire can of peaches and liquid into the foil pan and stir everything together.

Scatter small pieces of butter on top of the mixture.

Tightly cover the pan with foil.

Please on top of the grate over the campfire. Should be on a hot spot over the campfire but not active flames touching the pan.

Cook for about 15 to 25 minutes, depending on your heat. Be careful to not burn the dessert.

Carefully remove from the fire, peel off the foil, and eat

This easy camping dessert turned out really good.

While it would be really delicious with some vanilla ice cream on top, it was perfectly good just the way it was hot off the campfire.

Since we used packets of brown sugar and cinnamon instant oatmeal and cinnamon graham crackers, we did not add any other spices.

It was plenty sweet and flavorful.

Do you think this would work on a griddle over a camp stove? I am going to an event that doesnt allow camp fires, but does allow stoves. I would imagine it would work, but I am curious of your opinion! Thanks =]

I think the griddle would help distribute the heat, instead of just concentrated over the flame.
